Wednesday August 3rd the team members from Clean and Sober streets went out to support the Washington Nationals in their game versus the Atlanta Braves. It was a cheerful, fun afternoon of team building as everyone got to know each other a little better between handfuls of popcorn. The rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirit and the whole group celebrated by singing Take me Out to the Ball Game in honor of one member Charles King’s first baseball game. We were even featured on the jumbotron!
Thank you to all of those who came out to celebrate with us at the Philadelphia Bash!
It was an evening filled with great people, great food and certainly great dance moves! If you missed the fun or just want to relive the wonderful memories, check out the video which shows the unforgettable speeches, deserving awards, and generous sponsors!

On Saturday October 23rd Back on My Feet partnered with KPMG to have a fun run through the City of Philadelphia. DeTours Touring Company of Philadelphia were kind enough to plan a route with historical landmarks through the city. The route took you through various sections of Center City Philadelphia, such as Chinatown, Old City, and Penn’s Landing.
On Saturday morning, more than 30 members of the Philadelphia chapter gathered at Lloyd Hall on the Schuylkill River for the November family-wide run. We hosted another big Saturday group run last month.
People were able to run anywhere from 2 to 12 miles and everyone had a great time! It was an opportunity to see friends from the other teams and compete in a word scramble contest. The winning group, with people from Depaul, New Jerusalem, Outley and Our Brother’s Place, solved the mystery quote: “The miracle isn’t that I finish. The miracle is that I had the courage to start.”
Before the run, we gathered to make a brief video wishing all the New York Marathon FundRacers good luck!
We thanked fundracers last month for a different race too.
Our Baltimore chapter had a big presence at last week’s Baltimore Running Festival.
After WBAL previewed two of our THUMB crew runners, the chapter had a big pre-race dinner and hit the streets for the marathon and other runs.
We had 50 members and more than 100 volunteers running in the festival. See the photos here and video below.
Last Wednesday Back on My Feet supporters, cornhole enthusiasts and foosball fanatics descended on the Green Briar Pub in Brighton, Mass. for the 1st Annual BOMF Foosball Championship.
As fans watched teammates and friends go head to head on the foosball table, a representative from Pabst Blue Ribbon was on hand to supply foosers and cornhole players with some much appreciated free refreshments. PBR also donated items for the night’s raffle, which also included generously donated items from NIKETOWN Boston, Dunkin Donuts, Mizuno, Brookline Booksmith, JP Licks, and Boston Massage.

The D.C. chapter had a great night at Nats Park on Wednesday September 22nd 2010.
