Back on My Feet D.C. is pleased to recognize PwC US as its Company of the Month for December. PwC has supported Back on My Feet in the District of Columbia since the chapter’s inception. Most recently, PwC sponsored the 2010 Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon.

Last year, PwC reached out to communities through nearly 200 firm led projects, donated more than 74,000 work hours and impacted more than 97,000 children through its community service program. Over the past three years, the initiative has contributed nearly 300,000 volunteer hours to more than 800 projects throughout the country. Every month, each Back on My Feet chapter highlights one of its many generous sponsors and funders. Back on My Feet has been selected as one of the beneficiaries for the 2010 Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon and is excited to take part in such a great event.
The Help the Homeless Program is a public awareness program that raises funds to support organizations working to prevent and end homelessness in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The Program also encourages volunteerism in service to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless. Since 1988, the Help the Homeless Program has raised more than $80 million for nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving homeless people in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Each year, tens of thousands of people get involved in the Help the Homeless Program by walking in the Walkathon on the National Mall, walking in community Mini-Walks, making a donation, being a sponsor, or volunteering their time to support organizations dedicated to serving homeless people.

We are excited about the organization’s unique and innovative approach of using running as a vehicle to move lives forward one step at a time,” said Nicole Robinson, Senior Communicaitons Manager for the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Program.
The 2010 Help the Homeless Walkathon was held on Saturday, November 20 on the National Mall. Be sure to check out the Back on My Feet pictures . One hundred percent of all walker registration donation fees, donations, and sponsorship contributions go directly to the Help the Homeless Beneficiary Organizations that provide services to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Back on My Feet ended up with over 800 total walkers in our first year!

Back on My Feet is proud to recognize KPMG as the Back on My Feet Company of the Month for the month of February for their generosity and incredible support. KPMG has partnered with Back on My Feet on numerous events and programs that has allowed for the continued advancement of our members and our overall organization.
