Wanting to offer even more comprehensive coverage of the Third Annual Stroehmann Back on My Feet 20in24, we took to Twitter, offering updates on the leader board, race organization and happenings around Boathouse Row and the 8.4 race course loop.

Serge Aborna, who ran 146.7 miles to win the Lone Ranger ultra marathon portion of the Third Annual Stroehmann Back on My Feet 20in24, accepts his first place plaque and $3,000 in cash from Back on My Feet Founder and race organizer Anne Mahlum on Sunday, July 18, 2010.

Serge Arbona, the handyman-by-day, competitive distance runner by weekend, once again bested a competitive crowd of Lone Ranger ultra marathoners at the Third Annual Stroehmann Back on My Feet 20in24 race event.

After kicking off the race from the back of the pack 10 a.m. Saturday morning, Arbona, 45, traveled 146.7 miles by 10 a.m. Sunday morning, 24 hours later. That total is nearly a half mile longer than the course record he set at last year’s 20in24.

“I pushed myself harder this year,” said Arbona, sitting in the medical tent after the race’s conclusion, nibbling on a slice of pizza and wearing large bandages to help ice down his knees. “I hope to be back and do the same next year.”
