It’s been a busy but successful month for Team Saint John’s. We had an excellent showing at the Run for Jake with eight residents and eight non residents attending. Dan, Heather, Abby, and Matt represented the non-residents with fast race time. In fact, our very own Dan finished second overall (in a photo finish). For this race we welcomed back Saint John’s alumni Joe, Eric, and Troy. Each of them ran a strong race and Joe set a new 5K personal best. Resident Raeford also ran his first 5K with BoMF despite joining the team only a few days prior to the race.
This month the entire team took part in a Sunday social, planned by our Social Coordinator, Allison. We all met up at Fairmont Park where we enjoyed wonderful food, fellowship, football, Frisbee, and a few crazy dogs (one resembled a lion!).
Finally, we would like to acknowledge our resident and non-resident of the month. This month we honor Ron with our Resident of the Month honors. Ron always demonstrates a positive attitude and exudes wisdom. In fact, he’s always providing sage advice to residents and non-residents alike. We also recognize Ben as the non-resident of the month. Ben has been a committed member of the BoMF Saint John’s family for several months. In fact, Ben has been one of the most consistent non-resident volunteers throughout the winter regardless of the weather. Additionally, we can always count on Ben to step up and run with whatever group needs additional runners no matter the distance. Both Ron and Ben are tremendous asset to our team and Saint John’s family.
