Our Brother’s Place (OBP) rose to the occasion and surprised ourselves a little bit by winning the 2011 March Mile Madness Competition! What a tremendous source of pride for our team. Our resident members averaged 91% attendance at MWF and Saturday morning runs. We’d like to thank our resident members Olani, Dave F., Daryl, Juan, and Charles for creating a strong team. We’re confident our new additions since then will make OBP even stronger!

In April we participated in the Run for Jake where Olani, Juan, Dave F., Pete, Dave S., Elizabeth, and Laura all saw fast times on the course.

For our April social event, we took on the topic of science and visited The Franklin Institute where we learned about the Heart, Electricity, and even Astronomy by attending a planetarium show. Before heading to a team lunch, team leader Pete himself gave us and the entire museum an exciting and informative science show on the topic of Hot and Cold. We can’t believe they trust him with Liquid Nitrogen and a microphone! [ed. note: neither do I] We had a blast and learned a lot. It was a fun Saturday to be together. Thanks again to Pete and the Franklin Institute for hosting us.

This weekend we had members of our team participating in the Broad Street Run and also the Nasvhile Marathon and 1/2 Marathon. Congratulations to all our runners!
