Philadelphia chapter alumnus Kenny Herder being interviewed before his speech at the Chicago chapter's launch breakfast.

Kenny Herder, an alumnus of the Philadelphia chapter who is living sober, working part-time and transitioning back toward being fully self-sufficient and integrated into society, addressed more than 500 people at Wednesday’s Inaugural Accenture Back on My Feet Breakfast in Your Sneakers Presented by Marriott, which kicked off the Chicago chapter.

Herder spoke about first being diagnosed with a mood disorder and addiction issues in September 2008, then first joining Back on My Feet’s Ridge Shelter team in Philadelphia. He then spoke about the big picture of the Back on My Feet program and finally addressed how it helped him.

Below, watch his speech.

Watch another Philadelphia chapter alumnus, Kevin Brown of New Jerusalem, speak at the Boston chapter launch.
