Clean and Sober Streets is proud to announce its residential and non-residential members of the month!
For September Clean and Sober Streets chose Lewis S. (left) to be their residential member of the month.
Team Leader Julie P. remarked, “He is always out there with of course a big smile, a great attitude and a rapport with the rest of the team.”
Lewis is always the first one with a joke and a smile on the team, and even though he’s battling a lingering ankle injury he’s planning on finishing the Woodrow Wilson Half Marathon coming up on September 19th! Lewis has also been featured in several media pieces that have been done on Back On My Feet. (The piece by TBD.com can be seen here.)
Clean and Sober Streets picked Porter C. as their non-residential member of the month. Porter is one of the most dedicated members of CSS, going so far as to place frozen water bottles along the CSS Saturday long run routes through Hains Point so that the residents didn’t have to carry water with them the entire time, but are were able to stay hydrated throughout the run.
He is a great supporter of the team. His personality and good sense of humor–as well as his trusty Garmin watch–really motivates the guys.
With 5 residential members (Jack L., David W., Lewis S., Dedric D., and Eugene S.) running the upcoming Woodrow Wilson Half Marathon put on by Pacers Running Store, Porter’s Garmin is coming in handy for those Saturday long runs!
New member John R. is taking to the runs like a fish to water. He’s already completed his first 5K race and he hasn’t even been running for a month with Clean and Sober Streets. He’s a great addition to the team, and his kind words are always appreciated by everyone there.
