Wanting to offer even more comprehensive coverage of the Third Annual Stroehmann Back on My Feet 20in24, we took to Twitter, offering updates on the leader board, race organization and happenings around Boathouse Row and the 8.4 race course loop.
Through the weekend, at least two dozen runners, volunteers, supporters and curious digital passers-by got involved in the conversation by following and adding to #20in24. We also had a great dialogue happening from our organization’s @BackonMyFeet account and one specified @20in24.
We answered questions, got perspective on the race from different vantage points and worked to thank and support all of those who made the race event possible.
To take hold of that, we wanted to share some of our favorite tweets from the weekend.
- From Jacob Gantz Saturday at 6:30 p.m.: “Great race director – I complain about results not getting updated, @AnneMahlum appears out of nowhere and says updates on the way!”
- From Lone Ranger Mike DePaul Saturday night at 7 pm, with whom we shared a Q&A on this blog, playing on the old ‘walk a mile, run a mile:’ “New strategy: walk to a tree, run to a tree”
- From Relay Challenger Craig Lindemann Sunday at 8 a.m.: “My body hates me. Except hate isn’t a strong enough word for it. #20in24. 4 laps done. 2nd to last runner is out on course for team QWW!”
- From Volunteer Katie Sweeney Sunday at 9 p.m.: “So happy so much of the unused food from the #20in24 was distributed to Philly shelters. And our neighbors.”
