Back on My Feet would like to recognize BNY Mellon as our company of the month for July 2010, our 3rd Birthday month!  BNY Mellon stepped up big with a $30,000 grant to kick off the celebration of our 3rd year!  The synergy of BNY Mellon’s philanthropic mission and BOMF mission was the foundation for this grant.

BNY Mellon’s philanthropic focus on supporting initiatives that improve the social and economic conditions of residents where the company does business and where their employees live and parallels BOMF’s overall program and the work we are doing daily with our members.  It costs approximately $1,800 to get one member through our program annually, so with this grant BNY Mellon will be helping 16 members through the Back on My Feet program.

“We are so honored to get this gift from BNY Mellon.  The timing of the grant for our 3rd birthday made this a special treat.  We’re very grateful for the work BNY Mellon has done to support the Philadelphia area and we’re excited to use this grant to make an even bigger impact in Philadelphia through the Back on My Feet program,” stated Executive Director for Back on My Feet, Sera Snyder.

“BNY Mellon believes in the importance of programs that help our less fortunate neighbors develop the skills and confidence they need to become independent members of our community. That’s why for the past three years we have supported Back on My Feet’s mission of fostering self-sufficiency among homeless Philadelphians,” said David Kutch, BNY Mellon’s Chairman, Mid-Atlantic Region.

BNY Mellon is a leading financial services company that operates in 34 countries and processes global payments averaging $1.5 trillion per day.
