Stonyfield Organic foods is having some fun with a contest that could benefit Back on My Feet in a big way.

The Stonyfield Farm Barnstorming Tour is pitting 10 food bloggers against each other to earn a trip across the country to meet the men and women behind organic produce and other foods. As part of the promotion package, Stonyfield is also giving the winning bloggers $5,000 to donate to her charity of choice.

As luck would have it, one of the finalists, Tina Haupert, who blogs at Carrots N’ Cake, has chosen us as the nonprofit she’d like to support!

So now you have to VOTE for Tina every day from now until Tuesday, May 25. If she wins the trip, Back on My Feet gets $5,000 — enough to put nearly three members through our program.

Below, Tina answers some questions of ours to tell us more about the project and our newest blogger friend.

In an e-mail, Tina responded:

What is this contest about, how did you get involved?

Tina Haupert, of Carrots N Cake

Stonyfield is offering a chance for three bloggers to head out on tour and learn more about organics and where our food comes from. On the Blogger Barnstorming Tour, the winners will visit multiple organic farms and get to meet the farmers dedicated to organic food production.

It is a wonderful opportunity to learn more and share insights with my blog readers. Getting to go on the tour and support BOMF would mean a lot to me. There are ten finalists now and over the course of the next week (until May 25th), the public gets to vote on which blogger they would most like to send on tour. The three bloggers receiving the most votes will win.

Why did you choose BOMF to be your nonprofit of choice?

Even though Back On My Feet has nothing to do with organics (or even food), it’s one that I really believe in. From a healthy living standpoint, I know what great things running (and exercise, in general) can do for one’s mind, body, and spirit. While I was never homeless, my family grew up very poor. Playing sports and running gave me the confidence to accomplish so many other things in life. I would love to be able to support BOMF.

What is your experience with our organization?

To be honest, not much! I read about BOMF in a magazine and knew that I wanted to get involved.

Tell us a little about you – your background, location, age, etc.

I’m 29-years-old, and I live in Quincy, Massachusetts with my husband, Mal, and my pug, Murphy. Besides spending time with my family and friends (and, of course, blogging), I love to stay active. My favorite form of exercise is running, but a hip injury has put me out of commission for about a year now. I’m working with some great folks at OMBE, so hopefully, I’ll be running again soon. My goal is to run the Boston Marathon in 2011! I also enjoy walking, hiking, yoga, and Body Pump. (OK, I’m a bit obsessed with Body Pump!) I also love baking, wine tasting, dining out, and traveling.

My full-time job is blogging for Carrots ‘N’ Cake, but I also juggle a number of part-time gigs. I write another blog called Trading Up Downtown for a nutritional rating company called NuVal. The main focus of this blog is how to save money and select nutritious foods with the help of the NuVal system.

Additionally, I write a weekly feature for Health.com as part of their Feel Great Weight program. I also promote events online and via social media for a local fine wines company called Gordon’s Wine and Liquors. And, in October 2009, I secured a book deal with Sterling Publishing. My book will be published in Spring 2011, and it is based off my blog Carrots ‘N’ Cake.
