April showers can’t keep Brotherhood Mission away!

We had a wonderful month full of plenty of runs and great times!

Our race for April was the Hunger Walk and 5k held in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum.  We had a great showing from Brotherhood Mission and from BOMF! For our team, it was the first race Tyrone, Chris, and James had participated in! Tyrone came in a little over 26 minutes, which was so awesome for his first race! Katie, Peter, Dan, Debbie, Kris, Elizabeth, Brendan, Stacy, Juan, Andrew, Jesse, and Ovidio all participated in the run and had a blast on a beautiful morning. We are looking forward to many more runs in the upcoming season.

Jesse celebrated a new personal record at the Run for Jake when he came in under 30 minutes for the first time in a race. Congrats Jesse!

Kathy and Dan completed the Boston Marathon this month also! Congrats guys! We had fun celebrating this great accomplishment with them before the race! Brendan and Kelly are both running marathons the first weekend of May so we wish them good luck and can’t wait to hear all about it.

We have still been busy keeping up with our training for Broad Street and are very much looking forward to the run and celebration afterwards! For some of our members, this will be the longest run they have done so far! We are so proud of everyone for giving it their best efforts.

It’s getting warmer out! Come join us for a run, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:30am! We would love to see you there!
