Christopher’s Place has continued to grow over the winter months. Currently we have six members training for the Nikia Half Marathon, Brian C., Skylar D., John R., John M., Donnell W. and Michael W.!

We have also added 10 new non-res members to our team! The excitement has grown, as our morning circles feel more and more like a family every day. Relationships continue to thrive and the success of our team is due to the commitment and passion of EVERY res and non-res member! Diane A. recently took over as our social coordinator. She will do a great job creating fun and active things for us to do when we don’t run! Thank you to Bridget O. for your commitment as our previous social coordinator… you rock!

Recently Christopher’s Place joined the other three teams to ring in the new year with the Resolution 5k on January 1st. It was a great warm run, with a chili finale at the finish! The race was held in Patterson Park, which is notorious for being hilly, but all the guys came across the finish line jogging and with a smile on their face! Many of the guys attended the Gilman HS basketball game, where the were fortunate enough to meet local baseball player and icon Cal Ripken! This was a great night to leave the running shoes at home and just relax as a team.

Looking ahead we have many races and social events on the horizon. Including a bowling night, the Nikia Half, and the St Patty’s day double!! Look for highlights and pictures to come!
